Hailed as “superb” by the San Francisco Classical Voice, Alex Granger has premiered over 50 works as a soloist, concertmaster, and chamber musician, working directly with some of the world’s foremost musicians and composers. As a chamber musician Alex’s performances have been featured on NPR, Warner Classics, and included in Alex Ross’s Ten Notable Performances of 2022 in the New Yorker. Alex is a founding member of the BASC quartet and traveled to Vienna in the summer of 2023 for a residency at the Arnold Schoenberg Center, performing the complete Schoenberg quartets. In addition to concertizing in the world’s most prestigious venues, Alex often performs within the nexus of the Skid Row community as a part of Street Symphony and finds this to be one of the most rewarding aspects of his career. Alex’s favorite thing to do is go on long walks by the ocean with his wife and their dog.
