Ryan Emerson Baird is a Los Angeles-based double bass performer and educator. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance under Dr. Sandor Ostlund at Baylor University. He continued his studies with David Allen Moore at the University of Southern California, ultimately earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Double Bass Performance. Ryan performs regularly as a member of the Santa Barbara Symphony and Delirium Musicum Chamber Ensemble. Additionally, he has played with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Phoenix Symphony, the Fort Worth Symphony, the Santa Barbara Opera, and Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra. Ryan teaches double bass at the Colburn CSPA, YOLA, and Claremont Graduate University.
