As the winner of the Aspen Piano Concerto Competition, Biguo Emma Xing appeared as the soloist with Aspen Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Patrick Summers. Biguo has won prizes at the 1st Beijing International Fryderyk Chopin Competition For Young Pianists and the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, she is also the winner of the BNP Paribas “Rising Stars” Piano Festival Award.

Biguo has appeared as a soloist at Benedict Tent and Harris Concert Hall at Aspen Music Festival, Alice Tully Hall and Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Lincoln Center, Beijing Concert Hall, Embassy of Poland in Washington D.C., Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Music Hall, ACT CITY Hamamatsu Concert Hall, Schoenberg Hall at UCLA, Meany Hall of Performing Arts at University of Washington, Tsinghua University Concert Hall, Piano aux Jacobins Festival in China, Focus! Festival in New York, Consulate of China in New York, and on China Central Television (CCTV), etc.

She graduated from The Juilliard School with Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree under the guidance of Hung-Kuan Chen, and studied chamber music with Emanuel Ax and Jerome Lowenthal. She received her Bachelor’s degree with Academic Honors. She also worked as a Teaching Fellow in the Secondary Piano and Keyboard Skills Department, as well as the Music Theory and Analysis Department at Juilliard.

As a Columbia-Juilliard Exchange student she studied philosophy at Columbia University. She was a member of the Columbia Debate Society, and served on the judging panelist for Ivy League Parliamentary Championship hosted by Columbia University and Yale IV.

She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at University of California, Los Angeles, studying with Inna Faliks while working as a Teaching Assistant to the Piano Department. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant to William Kinderman in the Musicology Department.
